Speaker Spotlight

Christen Sproule is an accomplished criminal and regulatory litigator who has spent her career pursuing justice and fiercely defending the rights of victims. As Senior Litigation Counsel at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), she shapes litigation strategy and tackles novel regulatory issues to protect investors and safeguard the integrity of the capital markets.

Before FINRA, Christen spent years as a federal and civil prosecutor handling some of the most complex financial crimes in the country. As an Assistant United States Attorney in California and Maryland, she directed high-profile investigations and prosecuted multi-billion-dollar fraud schemes, including international kleptocracy cases featured in the Netflix documentary Dirty Money, CNBC’s American Greed, and ABC’s The Con. She has also keynoted for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and protected California consumers as a Deputy City Attorney.

Driven by a deep passion for giving back, Christen dedicates much of her time to volunteer leadership. She serves as a Speaker Coach for TEDxManhattan Beach, and through American Martyrs Catholic Community she has founded and led ministries focused on women’s empowerment, mindfulness, and animal welfare. She also mentors the next generation of legal minds, teaching legal writing and trial advocacy at Pepperdine University School of Law and the USC Gould School of Law.

Christen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, and is completing an LL.M. in Global Financial Regulation at Drexel University School of Law.
